Q&A: The aboriginal city

First Nations, Inuit and Metis people are moving to Canadian cities in record numbers. According to Statistics Canada, five cities − Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Toronto − are where most are settling. With the rural to urban migration of aboriginal peoples set to accelerate, Lloyd Axworthy, president of the University of Winnipeg, and Kevin Chief, of the university’s Innovative Learning Centre, take your questions.
