The Collaborative Circle on the Land and Peoples presents:
Mino Biimadis (‘A Good Life’ in Anishinaabe) a youth program that was driven, developed, administered, and evaluated by youth in Toronto. The program put a group of youth leaders through leadership training so that they could put their skills into practice leading other Indigenous youth through a series of workshops based around Indigenous culture, traditional teachings, ceremony, the arts, health, and professional development. This unique pilot project gave urban youth a chance to reconnect to Indigenous culture in an area where there is limited access to a non-developed traditional land base. This project was supported by the Noojimawin Health Authority, Miziwe Biik Aboriginal Employment and Training Centre, and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Miigwetch to our presenters Caleb Trudeau and Jamaias DaCosta!
